Hello there.
I’m lucky enough to be internationally recognized as an emerging SFFH writer.
I write primarily in the speculative genre, but I will often write literary fiction, and poetry (speculative & literary), as well.

What you’ll find here: me announcing my writerly news and events; on my Twitter, instagram and Facebook, I’ll be going between social commentary, artistic musing (navel gazing? cat waxing?) and outright pooftery.

I’m serious about having fun–and quite silly fun, at that–but I’m more serious, obviously, about writing.

The ‘Spider’ in my name is because I grew up knowing about Anansi the Spider Man, a trickster from African folklore that’s popular in the Caribbean. The “Lilly” rolls off the tongue better than “Lotus”, which has to do with Hindu spirituality that was a huge part of my life, and a huge part of me, growing up. (Ironically, I’m an atheist now). Trinidad multiculturalism and all that.

Having said that.

I am the Editor at The Expanse Magazine.

I am the recipient of a 2020 Ontario Arts Council Writers Grant, and a 2021 Horror Writers’ Association Diversity Grant.

I am a member of the Horror Writers’ Association, the Science Fiction Poetry Association, SFWA, HWA, CSFFA and I am a Codexian.

My old gravatar image was an artist’s rendition of a character of mine in my first novel-length attempt. Meet Mimosa (her tentative name). A story based on events in said novel’s now a short story in American Monsters 2, Edited by Margret Helgadottir (check my Bibliography page)
